Dr. Najmul Hossain is an economist with over 30 years of experience in teaching, research and management. Dr. Hossain received his Ph.D. in Economics from Virginia Tech and his Bachelors from the University of Delaware in the United States. A Phi Beta Kappa member, Dr. Hossain has to his credit more than three dozen publications in refereed journal articles.

Regional Director in Dhaka, Bangladesh for Maiden Visit
The Regional Director of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF South Asia), Dr. Ronald Meinardus, was in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 2nd February through 4th February, 2015. Meeting the colleagues at the Dhaka office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedm (FNF Bangladesh) and discussing programming activities for 2015 and beyond was one of the the main goals of this maiden visit.

Manthan Awards come to Dhaka
The Manthan Awards is a project with a regional South Asian reach aimed to inspire, educate and empower entrepreneurs and others using digital innovations. Spearheaded by the Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF), the prestigious award has now also reached Bangladesh. In partnership with BRAC, DEF and the Dhaka Office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF Bangladesh) launched the BRAC Manthan Digital Innovation Award.
