Dr Hakima El Haité

Dr Hakima EL Haité is the acting president of Liberal International. She holds two PhDs in environment and previously served as Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment. In 2014, Ms El Haite received the Freedom Award from the Spanish Women for Freedom and Democracy Foundation. In December 2016, she received the insignia of Chevalier de la Légion d' Honneur of the French Republic, presented by President François Hollande. She was also named United Nations Climate Champion at COP 22 and was among the 100 most influential people in the world on climate policy in 2019.
