The events to introduce Rights Card Game, produced by Friedrich Naumann Foundation Myanmar, were held in Mercure Hill Side Resort, Mandalay on 30 October 2019 and in Lotte Hotel, Yangon on 4 November 2019.

Rights Card game is an educational game intended to promote public awareness on the articles of Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).

Some articles of UDHR were integrated in the game (such as individual freedom, legal protection of human dignity, freedom of thoughts, freedom of expression and freedom of religion) and the main objective is to enable the players to understand more on Human Rights principles.

“The aim of the game is to educate young people on human rights by playing the game. It can be used as a standalone educational tool or as a supplement in other appropriate curriculums”, said Aung Thu Hein, Executive Programme Manager of Friedrich Naumann Foundation Myanmar.

One objective of producing the game is to provide the awareness on individual rights of the people.

There are 30 scenario cards, 36 solution cards, 20 mission cards and an instruction manual in the game.

Friedrich Naumann Foundation Myanmar will collaborate with partners to use the game in the future.

The game is the result of the collaboration between The Rights and Liberties protection Department, Ministry of Justice, Thailand and Friedrich Naumann Foundation.
