Beyond The Local, Beyond The Digital
On November 30, 2023, Korea Local Information Research & Development Institute (KLID) and FNF Korea successfully organized the "2nd Global Forum for Local Digital Innovation and Governance" at KLID Hall in Seoul. The event, titled "Beyond The Local, Beyond The Digital," brought together key figures to explore the implementation of the Digital Platform Government policy on a regional level and present solutions for local issues.
The official proceedings commenced with an opening speech by KLID Director Lee, Jaeyoung and Frederic Spohr, Head of FNF Korea. Notable figures, including Ko, Jin, Chairperson of the Presidential Committee on Digital Government Platform, Professor Kim, Young Mi, CEO Kang, Byung Joon, and KLID Chairman Cho, Young-Im, provided congratulatory remarks.
The first domestic session, themed "The future and vision of digital innovation for local governments," featured presentations by Yoon, Kun and Hwang, Seong Su. The subsequent panel discussion, moderated by Bang, Min Seok, delved into the role of local governments in the Digital 2.0 era.
The afternoon session explored "International cases of public-private collaboration for local digital Innovation." Kim, Jongwook and Harald Joos shared insights on financial information policy support systems and cloud public-private collaborations. The panel discussion, moderated by Haoting Chang, provided a global perspective, with speakers Lee, Ja Sung and Antino Kim contributing diverse viewpoints.
The forum served as a catalyst for fruitful knowledge sharing and best practices exchange, fostering international collaboration, particularly between Germany and Asia. This international cooperation aimed to build partnerships to address shared challenges in local digital innovation. The discussions highlighted the global importance of local digital strategies, emphasizing the crucial need for collaborative efforts to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape.
