The Liberal Party and the 2025 Philippine Elections
The Liberal Party became the first ruling party when the Philippines gained independence after World War II. LP became the party in power four times during the presidencies of Manuel Roxas (1946-1948), Elpidio Quirino (1948-1953), Diosdado Macapagal (1961-1965) and Benigno Aquino, III (2010-2016). During the terms of Presidents Corazon Aquino (1986-1992) and Fidel Ramos (1992-1998), and the early years of the Arroyo administration (2001 to 2010), LP was part of the ruling coalition.

Die Liberal Party (LP) wurde nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg die erste Regierungspartei der Philippinen, nachdem die Philippinen die Unabhängigkeit erlangt hatten. Viermal stellte die LP die Präsidenten mit Manuel Roxas (1946-1948), Elpidio Quirino (1948-1953), Diosdado Macapagal (1961-1965) und Benigno Aquino III (2010-2016). Auch unter den Regierungen von Corazon Aquino (1986-1992) und Fidel Ramos (1992-1998) sowie in den ersten Jahren der Regierung von Gloria Arroyo (2001-2010) war die LP Teil der Regierungskoalition.

FNF Philippines and PPVR launched a report on mapping women legislation in the Caraga region
With the goal of advancing gender-sensitive policies and bolstering the participation of women in politics, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) Philippines in collaboration with People Power Volunteers for Reform (PPVR) Caraga unveiled the publication titled “Research Report on Mapping of Women Legislations, Programs and Activities in Selected Provinces, Cities and Municipalities in Aid Legislations and Program Implementation in the Caraga Region” on April 30, 2024, from 8:00 am to 12:00 nn at Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center in Butuan City.
