"Brexit: Is this the beginning of the end of the EU or chance for a new start?"
Friedrich Naumann Foundation and the Institute for Democracy and Policy, a think tank of the Democratic Party of Korea co-organized a special lecture on the Brexit on September 21. The lecture was given by Mr. Adnan Huskic, political analyst and a FNF program coordinator from Bosnia-Herzegovina, under the title of “Brexit: Is this the beginning of the end of the EU or chance for a new start?"
Mr. Huskic approached the Brexit from the political perspective, which covered several important questions such as “What will be the UK’s future arrangement with the rest of the EU?”, “Is this the beginning of the end of the EU or chance for a new start?”, “What does this mean for the NATO and the European defense capabilities?”, and “How might Brexit interact with the rise of right-wing in the EU?” It was followed by the very vibrant Q & A session by the participants.
The event was attended by about 25 researchers and the staff from the IDP, who found the lecture very interesting and informative.
Encouraged by the success of the event, the FNF and IDP are planning to continue to have more joint programs in the near future.
