Enhancing Export Competitiveness of Global Companies

How Korean SMEs could become hidden champions were lively discussed at the occasion of the seminar co-hosted by the Center for Local Autonomy at Hanyang University and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom on Oct. 19. 

During the seminar titled “Enhancing Export Competitiveness of Global Companies, both theoretical and empirical presentations based on the case studies were presented to the public. Prof. Jeong Soo SEO, Global Management Program, Hanyang University offered a comparative analysis on export expansion strategy of the World Class300. He proposed that Korean SMEs should undertake much more innovation and develop more creative strategies to become globally competitive as German hidden champions.

Meanwhile, Prof. Sang Hyo Kim from CLT Korea Co., LTD called for a continuous improvement of the organizational culture of companies, as a key factor to influence and improve the performance of their employees.Another highlight of the seminar was the presentation of the actual case of a Korean company on its global strategy by Mr. Kim In Ho, CEO of NEOBIOTHECH Ltd, who received many questions from the floor.

The seminar was attended by more than 50 participants mainly from the business sector, who showed strong interest in the topic and actively joined in the discussion session with their field experiences and insights.
