Exploring diversity beyond labels

Diversity is a concept and idea that is trending. There is no sector in society that is not working in some way to incorporate it, from private enterprise to public policy, from art to the media. It has become a central issue in today's societies and constitutes a major challenge for life in democracy. However, it is a complex concept, sometimes misunderstood and also unfortunately overused.

This documentary aims to approach the complex, broad and controversial idea of diversity from the framework of anthropology, sociology, political science, education, private enterprise, artistic expression, activism and communication. The different analyses and expressions offered by the expert voices that participate, aim to offer a look - if not exhaustive, then intense, personal and challenging - of diversity in order to answer the question of whether we really are a diverse society and whether the era of personal diversity is still a utopia or not.

The documentary, in addition to incorporating expert voices, adds the voices of ordinary citizens in Madrid and Barcelona. In this way we take the pulse and radiography of the reality of our streets.
