The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom is proud to be the official partner of the 38th edition of "Enterprise Days" event, a prestigious gathering that brings together key players from the Tunisian and international economic ecosystems. The event, which took place on 05-07.12.2024 featured thought-provoking discussions and workshops on strategic themes, including adapting to geopolitical changes, mutations in labor regulations, and developing national economic sectors through public-private-community synergies.
The event was officially opened by Tunisian Prime Minister M. Kamel MADOURI, who emphasized the importance of fostering a business-friendly environment and promoting economic cooperation between Tunisia and its international partners.
The first panel, "Adapting to Geopolitical Changes: Opportunities for Businesses," featured renowned experts, including Ramadan ABOU JANNAH, Vice-Prime Minister of Libya; Epsy CAMPBELL BARR, Former Vice-President of Costa Rica; Lijun DUAN, Former President of Yankuang and Senior Fellow at the Centre for China and Globalization; and Arslan CHIKHAOUI, Geopolitics expert and President of Centre Nord Sud Venture.
The panelists discussed the impact of geopolitical changes on businesses and the importance of adapting to these changes to remain competitive. They also highlighted the opportunities that arise from these changes, such as new markets and partnerships.
The second panel, "Mutations in Labor Regulations: Preparing for Success," featured experts in labor regulations, including Issam Al Ahmar, Minister of Social Affairs; Hafez Amouri, Expert and Former Minister of Employment and Vocational Training; and Habib Kachou, Member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Institute of Institutional Leaders.
The panelists discussed the recent changes in labor regulations and the importance of preparing for these changes to ensure success. They also highlighted the need for a more flexible and adaptable labor market to attract foreign investment and promote economic growth.
The third panel, "Developing National Economic Sectors through Public-Private-Community Synergies," featured experts in economic development, including Hassna Djiballah, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training, charged with NGOs; Choukri Hussein, Director General at the Presidency of the Government; and Mohamed Benabid, Director General of the Climate of Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Planning.
The panelists discussed the importance of public-private-community synergies in developing national economic sectors and promoting economic growth. They also highlighted the need for a more collaborative approach between government, private sector, and civil society to achieve sustainable economic development.
The event also featured practical workshops and high-level discussions on key themes such as labor regulations, national economic development, and business prosperity in Libya.
The first workshop, "Adapting to the New Labor Code: Solutions for Businesses," featured experts in labor regulations, including Youssef El Kortabi, President of Arab Financial Consultants (AFC) and Member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Institute of Institutional Leaders; Bilal Dernaoui, General Manager of Nakdiat Tunisia; and Kamal Ben Mansour, Notary.
The workshop discussed the recent changes in the labor code and the importance of adapting to these changes to ensure success. The panelists also highlighted the need for a more flexible and adaptable labor market to attract foreign investment and promote economic growth.
The second workshop, "Developing National Economic Sectors through Public-Private-Community Synergies," featured experts in economic development, including Abdelhamid Menjah, Director General of Rural Engineering and Hydraulics, and Administrator Delegate of the National Water Company; Sahbi Mahjoub, President and General Manager of Sadera, and Member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Institute of Institutional Leaders; and Mohamed Maksi, Representative of SARTEX.

The event concluded with a panel discussion on "The Future of Economic Cooperation and Partnership between Libya and Tunisia," featuring Dr. Saad Al Hanish, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce for Economic Affairs; Dr. Abdel Moneim Ammar Balkour, Deputy and Economic Expert; Abdulwahab Al-Hajjam, Mayor of the Nalut Municipality; Abdulhakim Abu Jubaiha, Director of the Department of Companies and Commercial Registrations; and Hassan Al Haddad, Legal Expert specializing in Investment.
The panelists discussed the future of economic cooperation and partnership between Libya and Tunisia, highlighting the importance of fostering a business-friendly environment and promoting economic cooperation between the two countries.
