Leadership Academy 2024

The Leadership Academy 2024, held on 5-6 October 2024 in Mitrovica, successfully gathered over 20 participants, including young leaders from Democratic Party of Kosovo, and policy experts.

The two-day event, organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in cooperation with the Institute for Institute for Studies and Analysis, Ismail Qemaili, aimed to strengthen participants' understanding of liberal values, leadership skills, and effective political communication.

Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the core principles of liberalism, including individual liberty, democracy, and economic freedom, through insightful sessions led by Adri Nurellari, Director of the Institute for Institute for Studies and Analysis, Ismail Qemaili, and other esteemed speakers.

Interactive workshops highlighted the essential components of electoral campaigns and leadership development, with a focus on engaging voters, building leadership capacities, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of liberal values in governance. Ardian Lama and Arsim Qiriqi facilitated engaging discussions on these topics, providing real-world case studies for practical application.

Participants explored the vital role of traditional and social media in shaping political narratives. Through expert guidance from Bashmir Xhemaj and Dashamir Berxulli, attendees learned effective techniques for political communication and media engagement, essential in today's fast-evolving media landscape.

Discussions led by Neritan Sejamini and Faton Fetahu explored the critical relationship between individual rights and constitutionality, focusing on how rational choices, ideologies, and interest groups influence government decisions. Case studies provided practical insights into the protection of individual rights within constitutional frameworks.

The Leadership Academy has laid the foundation for ongoing discussions and training in leadership and liberal values. The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom will continue to support participants through follow-up events and seminars aimed at building a more open and democratic Kosovo.
