Dr. Ahmad has extensive experience in Customs, international trade, and trade policy issues. Currently, he is working as an independent consultant. He is also chairing a WTO dispute panel. He was Pakistan’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization. In that capacity, he also chaired the WTO TRIPS Council (Special Session), WTO dispute panels, and the WTO Committee on Balance-of-Payment Restrictions.He has also served as Director, Food and Agriculture Organization Liaison Office to the United Nations at Geneva; as Member (Customs) FBR at Islamabad; and as Deputy Director at the World Customs Organization, Brussels.
