Hilda Ajeilat

I am Hilda Ajeilat, co-founder of the Jordan Transparency Center (JTC), which is a non-governmental (NGO) and non-profit organization, which was founded in 2011. JTC aims to enhance transparency, democracy, good governance, and fighting corruption through encouraging civic participation and governmental accountability.

A devoted and self-motivated NGO volunteer, a persistent anti-corruption fighter with great passion to enhance integrity, transparency and accountability, and the source of aspiration to the youth in the civic society arena.

Within JTC, I’ve managed to gather a team comprising of highly motivated volunteers of different specializations; educational and cultural backgrounds such as lawyers, university professors, doctors, engineers, researchers, retired bankers and customs officers, former ministers, and media and youth activists.

I’m also an active participant in the regional and international civic arena. Through the period 2016-2018, I was elected as a coordinator of the NGOs group at the Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network, and currently, an Elected Board Member for MENA at the UNCAC’s International CSOs Coalition.

Being in an island of freedom was just a dream that came true, a place that combines beauty of nature, insights of value flavored with family atmosphere.

It has been such a rewarding and great experience in an invaluable retreat with peers from different parts of the world. This retreat was professionally organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, run by extraordinary experts, and attended by a group of activists from different backgrounds and ages from around the globe.

The retreat has upgraded my knowledge on core issues of Communication Strategy and Media Skills, and provided me with the best practices and tools of conveying professional messages to the public.
