Julius von Freytag-Loringhoven heads communications since January 2024 and is spokesman since July 2023. From 2020 to 2023, he led the foundation's Jerusalem office, supporting innovation, liberal values and dialogue in Israel and the Palestinian territories. From 2012 to 2020, he led the foundation's Moscow office (Russia and Central Asia) in the fight for individual dignity and freedom. He has developed programs for civil and human rights, bilateral dialogue as well as market economy and entrepreneurship. He brought Fuck Up Nights to Russia, and helped the foundation of the Boris Nemtsov Foundation for Freedom. From 2010 to 2012 he was co-founder and coordinator of the Forum of Liberal Ideas of the Free Democratic Party in Brussels - from 2008 to 2012 he worked as a political advisor in the area of EU politics in Brussels. Before completing his MA in Political Strategy and Communications at the University of Kent, he studied in St. Petersburg, Munich and Brussels.
