It’s wrap! Freedom Week #SpeakYourMind has been successfully conducted in Malaysia from 24 of September to 2 October 2016.

there are 6 fruitful events during the Freedom Week, which managed to gather many Malaysians who has concern about their Freedom, Justice, Environment and Good Governance to speak up.

As the great opening we have Liberalism Conference “Can Liberalism save Malaysia?” on 24 of September. On this event, there are 3 panel discussions  i.e Can a Liberal Order prevent another GLC Scandal? , Liberalism and Multiculturalism – Does Freedom Unite or divide?, Getting to general election 14- when will race and religion stop being used to win the election?.

Move to University Putra Malaysia, an IAF Alumni named M. Afiq also conducted the Climate Change Workshop from 24- 25 of September, with the theme of Resource Management and Environmental Protection Seminar. The Seminar was addressed for the students of UPM who has concern about the environmental issues.

In another place on the same date (24-25 of September) there was Art for Grabs "Family Squad" by Sisters in Islam. On second day of this art exhibition, our longstanding partner,  Yati Kaprawi showed animation videos, which illustrate the rights of women at sharia courts, followed by a public discussion. The series of these events conducted at "The School by Jaya One" in Petaling Jaya near Kuala Lumpur.

At the beginning of October, Akademi Keadilan (ArK) successfully conducted Opposition Coalition Forum in KL. Moderated by Fuziah Salleh (MP Kuantan, Founder ArK), KEADILAN Party (represented by Nurul Izzah Anwar), Parti Amanah (represented by Khalid Samad), and the newly established party - who just recently joined the current opposition coalition, Pakatan Harapan - BERSATU, (represented by Mukhriz Tun Mahathir), also Dato' Saifuddin Abdullah (Chief Secretary, Pakatan Harapan) spoke about the hopes and reality of the coalition opposition in Malaysia.

At the same event, The SIM Democracy Game Malaysian language version was successfully launched by Akademi Keadilan of the KEADILAN Party.

The SIM Democracy Game has been successfully conducted in several states in Malaysia.

Up to now, there are already 50-60 play coaches who are ready to play the game with party members in the grassroot and branch level in numerous states throughout Malaysia.

As the closing of the series of Freedom week, The Student Climate Change Camp has just been concluded by Founding Director of the Institute for Leadership and Development Studies (LEAD), Amin Ahmad. Around 15 students came from Kuala Lumpur to join the Camp which started 1 October 2016 and ended 2 October 2016. 
The 2 days/1 night camp is located at Nur Lembah Pangsun, an outbound and camping site just about 1 hour outside Kuala Lumpur.
One of the topics being discussed during the Camp was about the Economics of Climate Change where students were exposed to the idea of market environmentalism.
