Memorandum "the Morocco we want"
A new development model for Morocco
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom and its partners are working together for the development of Moroccan democracy.
In a 2017 speech, His Majesty King Mohammed VI called for a rethink of Morocco's development model, bringing it into line with the significant changes taking place today. Following on from this, he announced the creation of an ad hoc committee tasked with drawing up a draft of a new development model for Morocco, drawing on the input of numerous civil society organizations.
The Damir Movement, chaired by Mr. Salah Elouadie, took this opportunity to make an initial civil society contribution to the new development model, in collaboration with the Foundation. The memorandum "The Morocco we want" paints a political, economic and social picture of Morocco inspired above all by liberal values.t.
The memorandum did not go unnoticed. In 2019, Chakib Benmoussa, vice president of DAMIR, was appointed by King Mohammed VI as a member of the ad hoc committee tasked with drafting a new development model.
