In a world where immediate well-being often eclipses the fundamental principles of freedom and democracy, it is urgent to revitalize the reflection on the values that truly matter. My trip to Gummersbach, Germany, to participate in the Seminar on Promoting Entrepreneurship and the Free Market by the International Academy for Leadership (IAF) of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) was a transformative experience that allowed me to learn and contribute to the dissemination of vital ideas for a better future.

This seminar became a space for connection with people who share my vision. Through workshops, panels, and interactive exercises, we explored various aspects of market freedom and the need for a framework that promotes entrepreneurship. The Friedrich Naumann Foundation, with its unwavering support, motivates me to build a world where every individual can own their economic and social destiny.

With the growing political polarization and government intervention, defending entrepreneurship becomes essential. I have witnessed the severe restrictions faced by women in several countries to own property, as well as gender-based violence that limits personal and professional development in other contexts. The struggle for autonomy and equality is a task we must confront with determination. Women who achieve financial independence are better positioned to escape abusive relationships and build a more prosperous future.

Innovation originates from entrepreneurship; in this sense, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are fundamental pillars of the economy. According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), they significantly contribute to Mexico's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). However, excessive government intervention can stifle the creativity and growth we so desperately need. Therefore, it is crucial to find a balance between regulation and freedom, allowing for healthy development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

During the seminar, the exchange of ideas and experiences among participants from various parts of the world generated a strong sense of camaraderie and a renewed commitment to a future where freedom and entrepreneurship are accessible to all. A clear example of this collaboration is the support network that has formed among us. By sharing resources and knowledge, we address social challenges in our communities. This interconnection fosters innovation and promotes real social justice. I am convinced that these ties will strengthen our collective efforts. Together, we can move towards a more prosperous and supportive ecosystem.

Upon leaving the seminar, I felt a deep enthusiasm for the work that still lies ahead. Each story of individuals committed to overcoming adversity reinforces my conviction that by joining forces, we can overcome any obstacle. This shared commitment inspires us to engage in creative and constructive solutions.

The creation of networks and collaboration should not be underestimated. In a context where apathy can threaten our freedoms, we must foster dialogue and joint action. In this way, we will achieve a significant impact in our communities, strengthening the social fabric.

I recognize that a clear and effective regulatory framework is essential for developing sustainable businesses. Without adequate regulations, entrepreneurs face obstacles that limit their innovation and growth. Over-regulation can create uncertainty, affecting both entrepreneurs and consumers. Therefore, it is crucial to promote entrepreneurship in an environment that guarantees freedom and security. Establishing well-structured regulations allows us to protect consumers and foster a resilient economy where all actors have the opportunity to thrive.

At the conclusion of this enriching experience, I feel inspired by the determination of those who, like me, do not settle for the status quo. We know that every challenge is an opportunity and that by working together, we can amplify our impact in promoting entrepreneurial spirit and free market principles.

As head of Alliances and Ecosystem Development at Centraal, I am committed to promoting a vibrant ecosystem in Latin America. My role allows me to collaborate with entrepreneurs, organizations, and governments to create synergies that foster innovation and growth. Through strategic initiatives, I seek to connect key players in the region, facilitating resources and opportunities that empower local entrepreneurs. I am convinced that by working together, we can build a more prosperous and equitable future for all.

I close with the words of Henry David Thoreau: “Men are free in proportion as they have power to act.” Today, more than ever, we must act with courage and commitment to foster a world where freedom, equality, and entrepreneurship are not just aspirations but concrete realities.
