A danger to the neighbours
For Russia, violence is a common part of its political toolbox. Putin thinks revanchistically, ignoring the fact that the former Soviet Union was by no means defeated by NATO. This self-inflicted insolvency is part of history. It cannot be reversed at the expense of its neighbors. And certainly not at the expense of the European order.
