Freedom of Religion in the cases of the European Court in Strasbourg
FNF Western Balkans recently finished a publication authored by Emir Kovacevic, a Foundation’s alumni and an attorney-at-law. The book titled “Freedom of Religion in the cases of the European Court in Strasbourg” brings to the public a selection of cases, which deal with the freedom of thought, consciences and religion. Some of the cases examined are already well known to public for they have already become a subject of heated debates such as Eweida vs the UK or the “headscarf” case of Dahlab vs Switzerland. With the flood of populism in Europe during the last decade, the issues of accommodating the differences within a single and unified legal framework has become a problem that should not be ignored.
