A Conference on Development of Future Technology and Management

Without being independent economically, it is almost impossible for the region to be independent politically and realize the true decentralization. Strengthening the competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises in the region is very important for vitalization of the local economy.

For that reason, Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) and Center for Local Autonomy (CLA) at Hanyang University co-organized the annual domestic seminar on development of SMEs. The title was ‘Development of Future Technology and Management’ to aim at encouraging the SMEs in the regions to learn from best practices and get more competitive.

The seminar conducted at the HIT (Hanyang Institute of Technology) building at Hanyang Campus started with the opening address of Han Sang-Woo, the director of CLA and welcoming address of Lars-André Richter, the residential representative of FNF Korea.

The former CEO of KTh Ltd., Seo Jeong-Woo gave a very interesting speech on the disruptive innovation. The other two speakers, Kim Kee-Rin, the CEO of Shinheong SEC Ltd. and Lee Chun-Woo, the managing director of Ajin Industry Ltd. gave a fruitful presentation on their key strategies to be successful.

After the presentations, not only the panels but also the participants from the floor led a vibrant and meaningful discussion on that issues.

CLA has been closely cooperating with FNF for almost thirty year, since the foundation of the center which is supported by FNF and Hanyang University. This domestic seminar is one of the two main project both institutes are annually working on.
