FNF-EFN Session in Jeju Forum [Free Market and Environmentalism: Why they should love each other]

Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Korea office (FNF) and the Economic Freedom Network Asia (EFN) had a co-organized session with the title “Free Market and Environmentalism: Why they should love each other” during the Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity 2015. The Forum organized by FNF’s Partner, Jeju Peace Insitute (JPI) took place in Jeju Island from May 20 to 22.

At the beginning of our session, Ambassador Rolf Mafael and Regional Director of FNF East Asia, Siegfried Herzog gave a congratulatory speech and the key note speech of Dr. Oyun Sanjaasuren who is the member of Mongolian Parliament and chairman of UN Environment Assembly followed it. As a key note speaker, she provided input on how the environment protection and accordingly the international cooperation to achieve the objective are important in the world.

Besides the speakers on the podium, Dr. Yun Sangho, the research fellow from Korea Economic Research Institute, Sunil Rasaily, the Founding Partner of QED Consulting Group from Bhutan and Henning Hoene, the Member of Parliament in North-Rhine Westphalia took part in the session.

The Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity is one of the Asia’s major international comprehensive forums where political, business, cultural and academic leaders gather together in Jeju to exchange opinions and to discuss the ideas for the multilateral cooperation for common peace and prosperity in the region, since 2001.
