Young Leaders at International Academy for Leadership
Three participants from Georgia - Salome Muradashvili, Tamta Shvangiradze, and Nino Bakradze were nominated and selected to attend the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom workshop on "Strengthening NGOs - Strategy, Management, and Fundraising," held in Gummersbach, Germany From November 3 until November 15, 2019, at the International Academy for Leadership (IAF).
The program was designed for the representatives of the non-governmental sector - such as economic Think Tanks, Human Rights Defenders, also for the individuals working in close cooperation with FNF in their respective regions; who are leaders, hold managing positions and are involved in public activities.
The seminars were extremely interactive and saw active engagement from the participants. NGO representatives had the excellent opportunity to see how the practical application of the values we all share is done, which was demonstrated to us during our visit to one of the most famous and successful organizations "Sipgate" in Düsseldorf. "Sipgate" is the first German VoIP interface founded in 2004 and is building an innovative fixed home, mobile, and office products.
We enjoyed the visit to Cologne and Berlin very much. During our Berlin Visit, we attended the event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, which was very insightful for all of us.
In my opinion, International Academy for Leadership (IAF) is one of the most excellent opportunities to increase participants' awareness about the understanding of tolerance, freedom, leadership, human rights, or equal rights for active participation in decision-making processes and strengthening the liberal values.
