Enhancing Business Management skills for Women Entrepreneurs in Yen Bai province

Training to Women Business in Yen Bai

On September 18-19, 2020, in Nghia Lo, Yen Bai province, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF Vietnam) coordinated with the Center for Family Support and Community Development (CFSCD) to organize a training to enhance Business Management skills for the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Yen Bai province. This 2-day course is part of a series of training courses to improve business capabilities and human resource management for the Yen Bai Women Entrepreneur Association – a project by FNF Vietnam and CFSCD from 2019.

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic that requiring small and medium business and production enterprises to adapt to a new environment, the training course aims to provide more information, knowledge and skills for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Yen Bai province, especially women-owned enterprises to overcome difficulties in their corporate operations after COVID-19.

Ms. Le Thi Thuy, Director of CFSCD stated: “I believe that the knowledge and skills shared during the training could be effectively applied by trainees in their production and business activities."

On behalf of of FNF Vietnam, Mr. Pham Hung Tien - Deputy Director declared: “FNF Vietnam aims to contribute to Vietnam's policy institutions on market economy, improve the business environment and enhance competitiveness. We are committed to providing quality training for women-owned SMEs to reinforce the gender equality policies of Yen Bai province and to develop activities supporting businesses in the province. ”

Mr. Luong Manh Ha, Vice Chairman of Nghia Lo Town People's Committee pledged that "The government of Nghia Lo town will create best conditions for business development."

The training course was led by 02 experienced trainers:

- Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Van Binh, Lecturer at Institute of Economics and Management, Hanoi University of Science & Technology.

- MSc. Nguyen Thi Thu Que, Lecturer at Hanoi National Economics University.

As a long-time partner of FNF Vietnam since 2012, the Center for Family Support and Community Development (CFSCD), a Vietnamese non-profit organization, focuses on research and survey, organizes intervention programs in the field of information, education and communication, counseling, training and support for victims of gender violence.
