Animate Europe: Award Ceremony

And the winner is... David Shaw from Ireland! The jury awarded him the first prize of this year's edition of Animate Europe for his comic "Seeing the bigger picture". In his comic, he addresses the Northern Ireland conflict by telling the story of a homosexual couple. David Shaw connects the threat to personal rights and stability due to conflict and division, but above all, he shows peace and freedom as the EU's contribution to the situation of Northern Ireland. The ceremony took place at the Comic Museum in Brussels, where the original drawings were exhibited. Dozens of visitors celebrated with the artists and had a closer look at the comics while enjoying music from our band.
