Animate Europe on Tour

Have you been wondering what happened after the July Award Ceremony of our third “Animate Europe” competition? Our “Re-Animate Europe” exhibition was hosted at a series of events in Europe in the last few months - many more are planned for the end of 2017!   First stop: Brussels Comic Strip Festival  For the first time “Animate Europe” was part of the Brussels Comic Strip Festival. The festival took place in the Parc de Bruxelles and welcomed more than 100.000 visitors from all over Europe. In the international pavilion, FNF Europe exposed the original work of the seven competition finalists: Jordana Globerman (Canada), Stefan Haller (Swizerland), Štepánka Jislová (Czech Republic), Noelle Kröger (Germany), Magdalena Kaszuba (Poland & Germany), Davide Pascutti (Italy) and Paul Rietzl (Germany). More than 4.000 visitors from different European countries came by and expressed their strong interest for Animate Europe. Magdalena Kaszuba, winner of the 2017 competition, was present for a signing session. Interacting with an international audience, she presented her vision of Europe and the many challenges the EU is confronted to.   [gallery ids="15477,15476" type="rectangular"]   From Brussels to Paris : Maison de l’Europe On September 21st, Animate Europe was presented in the Maison de l’Europe, Paris, during the event: “The comic scene from Berlin to Paris: how to reanimate Europe through comics?”. FNF Europe’s Chloé Melchionne, shared our project ideas and goals to our very first French audience!   The 2017 exhibition found a great echo among the event’s participants (students, comic artists and fans…).     [gallery ids="15485,15484,15483,15482" type="slideshow" orderby="rand"]   … and there is a lot more to come! In November, Animate Europe will be hosted in Rome by Culture Action Europe and from there our graphic novels will travel to Strasbourg for the World Forum of Democracy of the Council of Europe. Last but not least: in the next weeks, “Re-Animate Europe” will go French! So stay tuned for our upcoming publications!
