ABOUT THE EVENT
The European Commission has recently presented its work programme: A lighthouse project of the team around Commission President von der Leyen is the European Green Deal. By 2050, Europe is to become the first climate-neutral continent, by introducing a package of measures that will make citizens, businesses and EU policymakers equally responsible. Preserving the environment, ambitious reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, investment in research and innovative products and processes are just some of the keywords. One thing is for sure: The European Green Deal will only be a success if citizens, businesses and policy-makers all benefit from its implementation. This also requires good cooperation between decision-makers at European level all the way to the Member States. In the end, the Green Deal will only succeed with, not against, economic actors. Join us in discussing what it takes to make the European Green Deal an economic success!
