Greek men and women appear to be divided regarding the overall assessment of the European Union, with 48% of citizens positioning themselves positively and 50% negatively on the matter, while citizens' concern about the energy crisis is significant, according to the new nationwide survey "The image of Europe in Greece today" published by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom - Greece and Cyprus (FNF) in collaboration with Kapa Research.

The survey attempts to explore the image of Greek public opinion regarding Europe, Greece's participation in the European Union, the effectiveness of the institutions of the European Union and NATO, the impact of the energy crisis in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as well as the assessment of Greek-German relations and Germany.

The poll was conducted in September 2022, in collaboration with Kapa Research, as part of the Foundation's annual campaign. The global dialogue campaign "Reshape Europe" aims to highlight how Europe can become more resilient to stand up to the enemies of freedom and liberal democracy, and how to equip the European Union to face major upcoming challenges.
