Event Feedback: Participation of Women in Strengthening the Democratic Process

This tour was organised by FNF which is Friedrich Naumann Foundation. This foundation is a sister organisation of the German political party, Free Democratic Party, which encourages women’s participation in politics.

This study tour was held in Delhi, Agra and Mathura and was held from October 10 to 14, 2024. The tour consisted of 20 girls from diverse backgrounds and different countries. The countries the participants belonged to were Germany, Austria, Tibet, India and the Maldives. The study tour mainly focused on women leadership, entrepreneurship, encouragement and their political participation.

Every day of this tour made us learn something from our guests, some of whom were entrepreneurs, and some politicians. We also had the opportunity to meet some dignitaries who come from the military and social backgrounds. All the people we met helped us learn and understand about our place in the society. Personally, I would say that this tour really helped me to get motivated towards success as we met entrepreneurs and I felt that I could also be like them – a very determined personality who plays a crucial role in our society.

At last, I would like to thank all of these dear people who gave me the opportunity to join the study tour and encouraged me towards a new direction of success.

I would first like to thank my school chairman Mr. Sushil Dhankar who told me about this tour and convinced me to join it.

I would then like to extend my gratitude to Ms. Nupur Hasija who is the Senior Programme Manager at FNF. She is a really good instructor and a fantastic role model.

Lastly, I would like to thank Mr. Frank Hoffman, who is the Regional Project Manager at FNF. He is a really nice educator and made me learn a lot of things about FNF and motivated me to move towards a new journey of success.
