The Kids of Mishwar Exhibit their Talents

On April 13th and 14th, 2019 the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Lebanon co-organized a truly unique exhibition with Mishwar NGO at Sarvam Yoga, Gemmayzeh.

At the exhibition, refugee children from the Tel Abbas camp in Akkar showcased their original art, animation, music, and photography. The children spoke about their drawings and told the audience of the touching stories behind their paintings and photos. To this, FNF Lebanon Head of Office, Dirk Kunze gave a brief speech where he remarked, “It's the small events that make the big difference. And, I'm fascinated with the energy and motivation these kids have.”

In the afternoon, the youth also performed original songs and raps, before an animation film was shown about the making of their art.

Last but not least, the children also gifted FNF with a beautiful handmade beanbag.

All in all, it was a genuinely remarkable and moving event.
