Unpacking Lebanon’s Trade Amid the Crisis

This collaborative project explores the impact of the crisis through trade data, presenting five comprehensive articles that delve into an in-depth study using Lebanon's import and export data. Trade serves as a vital economic indicator, reflecting a nation’s competitiveness and societal preferences. Analyzing trade patterns provides valuable insights into a country’s economy, business environment, and official trade policies. Therefore, the study aimed to offer insights into how the crisis has influenced different aspects of the Lebanese economy, encompassing consumer behavior, trends in luxury goods consumption, imports of primary goods, and the levels of import substitution before and during the crisis.
