Communication and Value Based Politics

ARK conducted a workshop from 19 to 20 April 2019, entitled ''Communication and Value Based Politics''. This workshop was conducted at the request of PKR Kedah's State Leadership Committee for the Information Chiefs of every division, as well as from the youth wing and women wing. The 40 participants registered and gathered on Friday noon for lunch at Swiss Inn Hotel in Sungai Petani, Kedah. 

After lunch, the workshop began with a welcome address from Raiyan Abdul, Deputy Principal of ARK. This was followed by Icebreaking and Learning Contract by Aisah Lamsah. The next session was a presentation from guest speaker, Dr Rahim Ghouse, on ''Strategy and Communication''. We then had a break for afternoon tea.

We resumed with a special appearance by the Honorable Dato' Johari Abdul, the Chairman of PKR Kedah. He shared his experiences and provided advice to the participants, to fulfill their responsibilities with the best values

After dinner, YB Manivannan Gowin (Deputy Information Chief of PKR) presented as a guest speaker. His session was entitled, "Role and Responsibilities of an Information Chief''.

The next day, YB Nurin Aina and Raiyan Abdul focused on Value-Based Politics, Civil Society, Value-Based Leadership. We included group work activities and games to ensure the content and principles would be truly understood and appreciated by the participants.

The event was concluded with YB Nurin and Raiyan Abdul presenting certificates to the participants.
