MSME Masterplan in Action

FNF Myanmar and Impact Hub Met with DISI

It is well-known that Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) has been working to draw regional roadmaps in Myanmar, alongside its MoU partner Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection (DISI), Ministry of Industry. Beyond these regional roadmaps, FNF Myanmar office has been working for a MSME Masterplan upon the request from DISI since 2018. On March 6 2019, FNF Myanmar office led by Jella Fink and Biak-Hlei Sung met with Director General Daw Aye Aye Win and her team in Nay Pyi Taw to seek advice for the MSME masterplan.

“We bring our technical expert team Impact Hub to present about the current process of the MSME masterplan,” Biak-Hlei Sung, a programme manager of Friedrich Naumann Foundation said.

Impact Hub team, led by Mark Brown, Okkar Myo and Yemin Aung, presented the draft MSME masterplan to Daw Aye Aye Win and her team and also explained about the upcoming activities to complete the master plan. Daw Aye Aye Win and her team also shared and commented their expectations from the masterplan to FNF Myanmar and Impact Hub.

It is expected that the masterplan would be finalized in 2019 and be used as a strategy for all MSME support activities in Myanmar.
