FEMALE FORWARD 2024
Event Feedback: Participation of Women in Strengthening the Democratic Process
Meeting new people from diverse backgrounds expanded my understanding of the world and listening to women leaders share their stories and journeys resonated deeply. I feel motivated to make a difference. ~ Tabassum, Hari Vidya Bhawan
I recently embarked on an educational trip which was hosted by FNF, that is the Friedrich Naumann Foundation. This educational trip was an engaging experience combining learning with exploration.
The trip comprised of participants from diverse backgrounds from five countries, namely, India, Austria, Tibet, Maldives and Germany. We had the privilege to meet various dignitaries and politicians. We met people like Austrian Ambassador Ms. Katharina Weiser, Ms. Sarita Singh, Ms. Himani Jain, Ms. Bhawna Gour, Ms. Ashu Thakur from Aam Aadmi Party and politicians from BJP like Ms. Manju Bhadoiya and Ms. Baby Rani Maurya. We also had the opportunity to meet Lt. Col. Archana Singh and journalist Pallavi Rebbapragada. We also met labour law specialist from International Labour Organisation (ILO), Elena Gerasimova. We also had the privilege to learn about Tibet. Last but not the least, we also had the privilege to meet a few women entrepreneurs who motivated us to create a better future.
These interactions that we had not only brought about a change in my perspective about the world but also left an indelible mark on my understanding of the world. From the visit to the majestic Taj Mahal to Delhi's Legislative Assembly it was a fascinating experience that offered glimpses into the country's rich history and democratic process. These visits enriched my learning about women empowerment and motivated me to make a change in the society.
This trip was more than what I had expected. I am thankful to all the people who made it amazing as well as educational. I would like to give my special thanks to FNF for this wonderful opportunity. I would also like to thank Mr. Frank Hoffman, Ms. Nupur Hasija and Ms. Divya Jain for making it a memorable trip. I would also like to extend my gratitude to our school chairman Mr. Sushil Dhankar for choosing me to represent our school at such a level.
