The second module of the transformation leadership for women from liberal parties in government Alliance Pour la République (APR) and opposition Parti Democratique Sénégalais (PDS) and REWMI a.u. in Senegal facilitated by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Senegal is receiving increased local media coverage.

The participating liberal women leaders and the press have highlighted that the FNF has managed the difficult task to unite women leaders from government and opposition parties. The Senegalese political environment is of high conflict between the parties ahead of the parliamentarian elections at the end of June 2017.

In a bid for capacity-building for women in leadership, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom recently hosted liberal women leaders from Senegal and Mali to offer extensive leadership training.

FNF in Senegal has had the highest level of women politicians as participants in the programme. PDS women President Wore Sarr, members of parliament, mayors etc were present. The President of APR women, Minister Marieme Ba was also present at the opening. The liberal women also gave press interviews collectively.
