Job Description
Program Officer “Digital Transformation” (one year contract)
We are looking for a qualified and committed new team member to:
- Develop, plan, manage and implement, in cooperation with the Program Manager at Head Office, and under the supervision of the project director of the FNF Taiwan office, the FNF's “Digital Transformation/ Emerging Technology” Program"
- Develop and expand the hub’s network of partners
- Monitor program activities and project expenditures
- Ensure close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners to guarantee smooth implementation of activities and achievement of results as specified in grant agreements.
- Continuous knowledge sharing with colleagues, partners and stakeholders on program topics
- Continuously develop the Hub’s network of partners, experts and cocreators.
- Contribute to our work with fresh and innovative ideas
Our ideal candidate has the following profile
- You are a Taiwan citizen or have the right to work in Taiwan without requiring employer sponsorship.
- You are fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written), German language skills are a strong plus.
- You have a Master’s degree that is relevant for the function: politics, public administration, social sciences, technology governance, information sciences, multimedia/information technologies, etc or have acquired an equivalent amount of significant work experience.
- You have at least one year of proven experience in project management (volunteering experience counts)
- You have good knowledge of governance and institutional aspects regarding civic technology issues;
- You have good knowledge on the topics of platform accountability, internet governance, and tech and human rights issues
- You have the ability to explain complex technical subjects in lay language to less technically experienced persons,
- You have excellent computer skills (MS Office., cloud-based applications, etc),
- You can work independently and have strong self-organizational skills.
- You work well in a team of diverse co-workers, and have great interpersonal communication skills.
- You identify with liberal values and are motivated to work in an international context.
