The 20th Bodrum Roundtable, held from October 4-6, 2024, brought together a distinguished group of diplomats, policymakers, and experts to discuss pressing international and geopolitical issues. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Bodrum, Türkiye, the event provided a platform for meaningful dialogue and strategic networking.

The event began with a keynote address by Mehmet Şimşek, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Türkiye. His speech set the tone for the discussions by highlighting Türkiye’s economic outlook and its role in the global economy.

The roundtable featured several insightful panels. "NATO’s Southern Neighbourhood Strategy" was one of the early discussions, with experts analyzing the security challenges and strategic priorities in the Mediterranean and MENA regions. Other notable panels included "The Customs Union as Türkiye’s EU Anchor?" and "What the US Elections Mean for the World", where high-profile speakers debated the geopolitical ramifications of Türkiye’s evolving relations with key actors like the EU and the US.

The final day focused on cutting-edge topics like "What AI Means for the World", reflecting the increasing importance of AI in global policymaking and security.

Participants left with enriched insights on Türkiye's strategic position in the world and enhanced connections for future collaborations. As in previous years, the roundtable ended with shared meals and networking opportunities, ensuring that it not only served as a forum for discussion but also for building relationships that extend beyond the event.
