Istanbul: One City, Two Worlds

Turkey is gearing up for local elections to be held across the country on Sunday, March 31. On the one hand, election campaigns continue at full speed, while on the other hand, both the candidates and the public are looking for the results.

They say, "The winner of Istanbul will win Turkey." From this point of view, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) Turkey Office interviewed with two notable names of Istanbul: former Prime Minister Mr. Binali Yıldırım, the candidate of People's Alliance -the coalition of Justice and Development Party (AK Party) and the Nationalist Action Party (MHP) and the mayor of Beylükdüzü Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu, candidate of the Nation Alliance  -the coalition the Republican People's Party (CHP) and the Iyi Party.
