We are pleased to announce the release of a new report that offers a precise analysis of the increasing enrollment of East Jerusalem Palestinian students in Israeli higher education institutions in recent years and examines the impact of the ongoing war on this trend.

Conducted by our partner, the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research, the report's key findings include:

•    Demographics: 70% of the students are women, with a majority being the first in their families to pursue higher education in Israel.
•    Motivations: The primary drivers for enrollment are the desire to study in Israeli institutions and the pursuit of academic and professional prestige.
•    Challenges: Students face significant barriers, including language proficiency, financial difficulties, and feelings of isolation.

The report also explores the impact of the current war on the academic environment, emphasizing the urgent need for enhanced support, integration, and dialogue measures.
