Policy Bootcamp
Empowering Young Leaders: Policy Bootcamp for Youth
July marked a significant milestone with the successful conclusion of the Policy Bootcamp for Youth, a collaborative project between the Knowledge to Policy (K2P) Center at the American University of Beirut (AUB) and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) Lebanon. This initiative gathered more than 30 motivated high school students from across Lebanon from July 22 to July 29, providing them with skills in policy advocacy and socio-economic development.
Enhancing Skills in Policy Advocacy and Socio-Economic Development
Throughout the Bootcamp, participants engaged in a series of dynamic sessions designed to enhance their understanding of policymaking, media engagement, and public speaking. These sessions not only provided theoretical knowledge but also offered practical exercises that allowed students to showcase their exceptional soft skills and potential for future roles in active policymaking.
The program aimed to improve employment and educational opportunities for young people, fostering a new generation of leaders who are well-prepared to contribute to socio-economic development on a national scale. The participants' enthusiasm and commitment to learning were evident, making this Bootcamp a resounding success.
As these young leaders return to their communities, they carry with them the tools and confidence to effect positive change, reinforcing the importance of initiatives like this in shaping the future of policy and governance.
