2nd Global Innovation Conference 2019 "Clean Water and Sanitation: SDG 6"
The 2nd Global Innovation Conference was held in Kuala Lumpur, 23 August 2019 and was well attended by corporate sectors, academicians, and start-ups. As the organizer, Saora Industries, successfully shared the message of the importance of sustaining clean water and supporting the progress towards achieving the objectives of SDG 6.

Public Forum: Democratic Transitions – Successes and Challenges
On the 10th of July 2019, IDEAS held a public forum that discussed on democratic transitions by looking towards past successes and future challenges. The first panel focused on the phenomenon of Overseas Democratic Assistance from the experience of the Japanese and US, while the second panel was a discussion on the democratic transitions in Malaysia and Tunisia

Study Tour for Integration Professionals
The Forum on the World Economic Orders in Washington DC held a one week study tour for professionals entitled "Vibrant, Secure, Cohesive : Integration in Diverse Society" from 5-18 June 2019. This program seeks to achieve several goals including fostering dialogue and building international network of integration experts as well as examining issues of integration and create deeper understandings of perspectives through discussions and exchange of best practices.

The Free Democratic Party's Visit to Malaysia
As part of a trip to a number of Asian countries, a delegation of Germany’s Free Democratic Party (FDP) visited Malaysia from July 5th to 8th. The delegates, including party chairperson Christian Lindner, met with local officials and activist as well as German diplomats to discuss the two countries’ relations and Malaysian politics.
