Women's Rights
#TelenisaTellsLive
Telenisa started its Telenisa Tells Live series (#TelenisaTellsLive) on social media i.e. Facebook during the Movement Control Order period, early 2020.
Before we dive down deep into #TelenisaTellsLive, you might wonder what is Telenisa?
Telenisa is part of Sisters in Islam, Telenisa is a free legal advisory service to women and men on their legal rights under the Islamic Family Law and the Syari’ah Criminal Offences Law.
The Telenisa Tells Live series is an effort to bring advocacy and outreach programs to women especially during this pandemic.
In the year 2020, Telenisa has produced and broadcasted 19 online sessions of Telenisa Tells Live under FNF project with issues covering women’s rights, women’s socio economic, child rights, Muslim family issues, Islamic Family Law and gender discourse. Every session also included a real time Q&A session where questions posted by viewers were answered by the resource persons during the broadcast. We have also collaborated with 30 resource persons who have shared their time and knowledge on the discussed topics with our viewers.
For 2021, Telenisa has continued the effort to bring more topics surrounding women to our viewers.
