We are thrilled to announce the release of our latest publication, Human Rights Defender: Pro-Democratic Activists, which shines a spotlight on the remarkable stories of courageous individuals fighting for democracy and human rights across the globe.

This edition includes two prominent figures from Southeast and East Asia: Chu Chen, the President of the Control Yuan and Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission in Taiwan, who played a key role in Taiwan's democratization and continues to advocate for human rights. Alongside her is Ray Wong, a Hong Kong-born activist who has been engaged in grassroots movements from a young age. In 2015, he founded the political group "Hong Kong Indigenous," whose slogan "Liberate Hong Kong, Revolution of our Times" became a rallying cry during the 2019 protests.

These leaders are powerful examples of unwavering dedication to freedom, justice, and democracy. Their stories are a testament to the courage and resilience of human rights defenders across the region. Read more about their journeys in our latest publication and be inspired to take action for a better future.
