During this event, we will explore the challenges and implications of regulating online platforms, drawing insights from both the EU and Sri Lanka, and discuss the key takeaways that could inspire Taiwan. Meet Our Speakers
Dr. Julian Jaursch, Lead Platform Regulation, Interface
Dr. Julian Jaursch is project director in the field of "Strengthening the Digital Public Sphere". His work focuses on questions around tackling disinformation and regulating tech platforms. He analyzes approaches to platform regulation in the German, European and transatlantic context and develops policy recommendations that can be used by political and civil society decision-makers.
Dr. Gehan Gunatilleke, Commissioner, Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka
Dr. Gehan Gunatilleke is a lawyer specializing in constitutional law and international human rights law. He is a founding partner at LexAG, a law firm specializing in Sri Lankan civil and public law, and a junior research fellow at Pembroke College, University of Oxford.
Yu-Fen Lai, Program Officer, FNF Global Innovation Hub
Yu-Fen Lai is in charge of FNF Global Innovation Hub’s "Digital Transformation" program. Before joining FNF, Yu-Fen Lai worked as a research and communication consultant at Freedom House. She also completed her internship at the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS). Yu-Fen Lai holds an MA degree from the Free University of Berlin and a BA degree from National Tsing Hua University, both in Sociology.
