The event was overseen by the Local Youth Development Office with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) Philippines to ensure a successful and enriching experience for all involved.

The goal of the Youth Activism was to inspire and empower young individuals to take leadership roles and become drivers of positive social change in their communities. By participating in this program, attendees gained valuable knowledge, skills, and confidence to engage in civic activities and advocate for causes they care about. The program also provided a platform for the youth to voice their opinions, share their experiences, and actively influence decision-making processes that impact their lives.

A central theme of the program was fostering a sense of social identity and collective action, encouraging participants to work together in addressing both local and global challenges. The event aimed to build a network of young advocates and leaders who could collaborate and support each other in their efforts to create meaningful change in their communities and beyond.

The seminar kicked off with opening remarks from Del Carmen's Mayor, Hon. Alfredo M. Coro II, followed by an inspiring message from Ms. Pie Escobar, a communications officer from FNF Philippines. The first session, led by Mr. Edson B. Alijo, the Officer-in-Charge of the Promotion and Advocacy Division at the Commission on Human Rights - Caraga, focused on the fundamental concepts and principles of human rights. This session provided participants with a solid foundation in human rights advocacy, equipping them with the knowledge necessary to promote and defend these rights within their communities.

Following a short break, the afternoon session explored the topic of Youth Rights and Activism: The Role of Youth in Nation Building. This session highlighted the power and impact youth can have in addressing societal issues and emphasized the crucial role of youth activism in shaping the future. The seminar concluded with an awards ceremony to honor the contributions of key partners, followed by a closing message from Engr. Margie R. Vicio, the Local Youth Development Officer.

The Youth Activism: Youth Making a Difference seminar was not only an educational platform but also a call to action for the young participants. It encouraged them to champion the causes they are passionate about and become part of a larger movement of change-makers in their communities.
